Community Caring Center Auxiliary at Tivoli Lakes

The Community Caring Center Auxiliary is an off-shoot of the Community Caring Center of Greater Boynton Beach. The mission of the organization is to address the root causes of poverty by an innovative integration of social service programs, economic development through small business incubation, nutrition education, and access to sustainable food centers. The organization maintains a food pantry which serves an area known as the “Heart of Boynton.”  It also manages a commercial kitchen in which new business owners can begin their food-related businesses. The program which gets the most attention is known as the “Senior Veggie-mobile,” in which volunteers deliver fresh produce (either grown in our own small urban farm or purchased locally) as well as several hot meals to frail and elderly residents who are home-bound. We have also received a grant to prepare chronic illness meals for people on kidney dialysis.

Because this is an auxiliary and not the main organization, there are no meetings held at Tivoli Lakes. Any resident is welcome to attend a meeting of the main board of directors which meets monthly at 5:30 PM, either at our pantry site or at a board member’s office.

Our two main events are our fall fund-raiser in November (in 2018 a Las Vegas night) and our Annual Hunger Walk/Run which is usually held at the end of February or first weekend in March.  Fliers and/or invitations to these events will be available in the Clubhouse.

There are no dues for this organization. We do, however, ask that TivoliLakes residents donate boxed or canned food for our pantry whenever possible.  The Caring Center Food Pantry is located at 145 NE 4th Avenue, Boynton Beach, 33435.  There is a collection box in the Lobby of the Clubhouse for your convenience.
